What makes the FITNESS LOGIC METHOD so effective?
The typical speed of a rep at your local gym is usually around 5 seconds. In this style of lifting the weight is allowed to accelerate requiring a higher number of sets to produce the desired effect. By slowing the tempo of each rep you force the muscle to work much hard. In fact you can work the muscle to complete exhaustion in just one set by controlling the speed that the rep is preformed and the number of reps in that set. So the typical workout at Fitness Logic would consist of 1 set of 5 to 8 exercises, each exercise would be performed to complete concentric muscle failure. Depending on goals, body type and current physical condition the tempo of each rep would range from 18 to 24 seconds with a total of 6 to 12 reps per set.
